Bringing the Faith to the Games: Legion of Mary Crowd Contact at the 2026 Commonwealth Games

When Glasgow opened its doors to the world for the 2026 Commonwealth Games, held in the city from 23 July to 2 August 2026, the Legion of Mary saw a unique opportunity for apostolic outreach. As thousands of visitors, spectators, and athletes filled the streets and venues of Glasgow, Legionaries recognised the Games as a moment of grace, a chance to meet people where they were and offer them a word of faith and welcome. Peregrinatio Pro Christo (PPC) 2026

Each year, the Senatus of Scotland organizes a Peregrinatio Pro Christo (PPC) evangelization project in Finland, bringing the message of Christ to the people of this mission field. This year’s team is currently in Helsinki on a 10-day mission that began on 13th July 2026, made up of 8 legionaries from Scotland joined by 2 legionaries from Ireland. Legion of Mary Scotland Celebrates Annual Day of Thanksgiving at Carfin Grotto – Pentecost Sunday 2026

The Legion of Mary in Scotland gathered for its Annual Day of Thanksgiving on the Feast of Pentecost 2026 at Carfin Grotto. Legionaries from across the country came together in a spirit of gratitude and fellowship to thank God for the many blessings and works of the Legion during the past year. Glasgow Curia Acies

Glasgow Curia Acies held on 22nd of March hosted by Our Lady Star of the Evangelisation Praesidium at Corpus Christi Parish Church Scotstounhill, Glasgow. The Acies ceremony was well attended counting around 70 people in attendance which included the Parish Priest, Fr Paul; Scotland Spiritual Director for Legion of Mary, Fr Joe; Senatus President Kitty Moran and many auxiliaries from different praesidia.
